## About

Founded in 1997 by a group of Utrecht friends who favoured organic farming and food, with second-hand equipment on the Lage Weide industrial estate; a new brewery opened in De Meern on 17 May 2001. Odenwald Organic Food Group has owned it since 2007, and in 2018 it moved back to Utrecht, to the Werkspoorkwartier. It was declared bankrupt in 2023 and made a fresh start at the end of 2023. Since 2007 it brews an abbey beer to a medieval recipe of the Utrecht Paulusabdij for the Utrecht Archive.
