Built on the Kamenitsa hill in Plovdiv by the Swiss Rudolf Frick and Friedrich Sulzer, brewing from 1881, registered as Frick & Sulzer in 1882; the first Bulgarian dark beer in 1892. Later Interbrew's and InBev's, StarBev's from 2009, Molson Coors' since 2012. The Plovdiv brewery closed in 2015; the beer is brewed in Haskovo since. unverified info
