South Africa Founded in 2007 by Ross and Meghan McCulloch as a contract brand, brewed first at Birkenhead, then at Boston Breweries and the Cape Brewing Company, until its own brewery and taproom opened in Diep River, Cape Town, in 2016. Heineken bought a minority stake in February 2018, and the founders sold their remaining shares in July 2024; Wulrich van Wyk of Heineken took over the running of the brewery and Ross McCulloch stayed on as a consultant.
