## About

The company behind Devil's Peak, started in 2012 (Business Day says 2011) by Derek Szabo and Russell Boltman; about 500 staff and about 2 per cent of the beer and flavoured drinks market. Brands: Devil's Peak, Striped Horse, St Francis, Kix Spritzer, Fokof Lager and, under licence, Miller Genuine Draft and Bavaria; it also holds the Strongbow cider licence that Heineken had to give up for its Distell takeover. In July 2025 it was building a 1 billion rand brewery at Midrand, due to start packing in August 2025.
