How it works
Rubbens is a Belgian jenever distillery that has also brewed since 2021. Melchior Singeleyn founded the farm distillery at Zele in 1817; it took its name from Charles Rubbens, who built it up from 1872, and his sons ran it from 1911. In 2008 the family sold it to the farmer Dirk Beck, and between 2009 and 2014 it moved to a former steelworks site at Wichelen, where his son Hendrik Beck works with him. Beer production started in 2021, when the firm had more than 120 products under different brand names; the beer on file is Rubbens Blond. unverified info
