How it works
Brouwerij Viven in Sijsele, Damme, dates its story to 1999, when a hobby brewer named a blond beer Kapel van Viven after the old chapel of Vivenkapelle. In 2005 Tony Traen, of the liquor store of that name, took over and renamed the beer Viven; he has built a range with a hoppy character, and his wife Krystle also works as a brewer. Test brews are made in a 12 hl brewhouse at Sijsele and larger batches at De Proefbrouwerij in Lochristi. The cap on file is Master IPA. unverified info
