How it works
The Ostankino brewery in Moscow, the city's third: it was planned in 1936 among ten new Soviet breweries, building stopped in 1941 and went on in 1946, and the first brew was made in January 1949 with a design capacity of 5 million decalitres a year. It brewed Zhigulevskoye, Moskovskoye and Rizhskoye; its Yubileynoye was in 1967 the first beer to receive the State Quality Mark, and new Czechoslovak and German equipment of 1971-1975 raised output to 8.5 million decalitres. Privatised in 1993 as Ostankinsky Brewery JSC; it stopped brewing in 2008, and the buildings were demolished in late 2022 and early 2023 for a housing project of MR Group. unverified info
