## About

Founded in 2011 by Ewald Visser and Arend-Jan van Dieën, former managers of the Utrecht beer café Kafé België, who first sold contract-brewed beers under the Maximus name. Since early 2012 the beers have been brewed in the company's own brewery and tasting room in De Meern, on a second-hand 15-hectolitre brewhouse that came from the Hibernia brewery in Gelsenkirchen. Its beers include Brutus Cuvée and Maximus Stout.
