How it works
Brewery in Orizaba, Veracruz, started in 1894 as Cervecería Guillermo Haase y Cía by Enrique Mantey and Guillermo Haase, and turned into the Cervecería Moctezuma S.A. in 1896 with German capital and the brewmaster Adolph Burhardt. Its Siglo XX beer of 1897 became Dos Equis; Sol and Superior are also its brands. The Monterrey group VISA bought a majority in 1985 and joined it with Cervecería Cuauhtémoc by 1988.
