The burghers' brewery of Hradec Králové, built in 1844–1846 to a design by Jan Bělský; the first beer was brewed in 1846. Nationalised in 1948, from 1989 the state enterprise Pivovary Hradec Králové; after privatisation it changed owners several times and stopped brewing in 1999. The town bought the buildings in 2001; rebuilt in 2005–2007 as the Regiocentrum Nový pivovar, seat of the regional office, with a small brewpub. unverified info
