## About

Not a Dutch brewery: the Adelshoffen brewery stood in Schiltigheim near Strasbourg, France, where the Ehrhard brothers founded a malt house and brewery in 1864. It launched the whisky-malt beer Adelscott in 1981. Heineken became the majority shareholder of Fischer-Adelshoffen on 12 February 1996 and the Adelshoffen brewery closed on 1 September 2000; Adelscott, now a Heineken brand, is brewed at the brasserie de l'Esperance in Schiltigheim.
