A small brewery in Hulst, Zeeland, run by John Vermeersen; the Dutch beer database PLDN dates it to 1991 and gives a capacity of 400 hectolitres a year, while the company register shows 1989. It was formerly called Bierbrouwerij De Halve Maan, and the first Emelisse beers were brewed there. Its beers include the tripel XXX, Zeeuws Tripel, Luctor et Emergo Dubbel, Zeeuws Weizen and the dark strong ale Grof Geschut.
