How it works
Brewery in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, opened in 1900 by the Germans Jorge Claussen, Germán Evers and Emilio Radostits (Philippi in some sources). Its Pacífico beer, named for the ocean and labelled with the Mazatlán lighthouse hill, became the best-selling beer of north-west Mexico. Grupo Modelo bought the brewery in 1954; since 2013 it belongs to Anheuser-Busch InBev. unverified info
