Brasserie {C} of Liège, the maker of Curtius and Torpah, was founded by the agronomists Renaud Pirotte and François Dethier, who won the television contest Starter in 2012 with the idea of a microbrewery. In 2022 it marked ten years and its first million litres of Liège beer, made in new premises opened two years earlier. It brews about 8,000 hl a year and sells about 80% of it in the province of Liège. unverified info
