Set up on 1 July 1996 by Bernard Sloan and his wife Kerry in a shed on the family farm at Attical, near Kilkeel in County Down, on a five-barrel plant of Bernard's own design. In 2017 it started production in a new 15,000-square-foot brewery at Castlewellan in the foothills of the Mourne Mountains, with a visitor centre. It is the largest microbrewery in Northern Ireland, and its beers include Belfast Ale, Maggie's Leap and Ewe Rebel. unverified info
