Founded in April 1992 by Bernard Linley and Gerald Eubank at Tockwith, near York, and sold in 1993 to the former Bass managers Bruce Awford and Richard Lowden; Craig Lee, who joined in 1995, gradually bought out the partners. Its Ruby Mild was named overall Champion Beer of Britain at the Great British Beer Festival in 2009, and the brewery was extended on its site on the Marston Business Park in 2010-11. unverified info
