Switzerland Founded in 1992 at Wädenswil by Gary Wuschech-Kistler after the local brewery closed in 1990; the beer guide calls it the first Swiss brewery to make organic beer and, in 1996, the first in the world to brew hemp beer commercially, though another brewery says it sold hemp beer from 1993.
