Country: ua Ukraine

Founded in 1888 by the Czech brewer Vaclav Zeman, whose father Josef had come from Bohemia to Kvasyliv in 1869. A fire destroyed the wooden building in 1906 and it was rebuilt in brick within two years; in 1913 it made four beers that won awards, among them a Grand Prix at Paris. It passed to the son-in-law Jozef Malinski in 1938 and was nationalised in 1939. The Zeman brand dates from 2004, and in 2015-2020 the owners renewed the plant with Czech and German equipment. unverified info
