How it works
The beer arm of the wine company Teliani Valley, later of Georgia Capital (92.4 percent in 2024). A greenfield brewery at Tsilkani near Tbilisi, financed by a syndicated loan of 18.5 million euros from the EBRD, FMO and DEG announced in January 2017, has worked since 2017. It brews Heineken, Amstel and Krusovice under licence and its own ICY and Kayaki; Georgia Capital bought the Kazbegi brand in 2019, and its subsidiary Genuine Brewing Company makes the craft beer Black Lion (Shavi Lomi). On 28 October 2024 Georgia Capital agreed to sell the business to Royal Swinkels (80 percent Swinkels, 20 percent Georgia Capital). unverified info
