The main brewery of the Isle of Man, founded by Dr William Okell, a Cheshire surgeon, who began brewing at Castle Hill, Douglas, in 1850 and built the Falcon Brewery in Douglas in 1874. The firm came to Heron & Brearley, merged with the Castletown Brewery in 1986 to form Isle of Man Breweries, and moved to a new brewery at Kewaigue, Douglas, in the 1990s. unverified info
