## About

The Sadler family, whose Windsor Castle Brewery in Oldbury closed in 1927, began brewing again at the Windsor Castle Brewery Ltd in Lye, West Midlands, in 2004; a new 30-barrel plant with a bar and visitor centre opened beside Lye station in 2015. Halewood International, which also owned Hawkshead Brewery, took a controlling interest in June 2017. The closure of the Lye brewery was announced in December 2019 and confirmed in January 2020, and production of Sadler's ales moved to Hawkshead in Cumbria.
