How it works
The brewery of the Cistercian (Trappist) Mount St Bernard Abbey near Coalville, Leicestershire, the only Trappist house in England, founded in 1835. The monks had brewed in the nineteenth century, and after their dairy farm closed in 2014 they set up a brewery with a 25-hectolitre brewhouse; in June 2018 they launched Tynt Meadow (7.4%), the first Trappist beer brewed in Britain. The abbey joined the International Trappist Association in March 2017. unverified info
