The castle brewery of Břeclav, founded in 1522 in the castle grounds. Nationalised after the war, it brewed 225 000 hl in 1992 but stopped in 1996, after a third of its beer had gone to Slovakia. Brewing came back in 2013 under Pivovary Koruny české. Kanec, Podlužan, Beran. unverified info
