## About

Brewery at Komárom on the Danube, founded in 1983 by 167 shareholders as Komáromi Megyei Sörgyár Rt., at first as a bottling plant, with its own beer from 1988. It became Komáromi Sörgyár Rt. in 1988 and Amstel Sörgyárak Rt. in 1991, owned by Heineken. After Heineken bought Brau Union and the Sopron and Martfű breweries in 2003, it was judged redundant and brewing stopped in 2004.
