Brewery
back Witte Klavervier B.V.

Country: nl Netherlands

The name comes from De Witte Klavervier, a listed house at Koestraat 33 in the old centre of Zwolle. The brewer Wycher Geerlichs converted the former smithy into a brewery in 1651; later owners were Jan van Lingen, Jan Janssen van Hamel and Jacobus Rietberg, and the house was sold in 1752. Today the name is used by Witte Klavervier BV, a small brewing company that also publishes the history of beer on witteklavervier.nl. unverified info
