## About

Set up in May 2003 by the former chef Dave Hughes and his wife Judi, who had been head brewer at Barnsley Brewery, at Wombwell near Barnsley, South Yorkshire; production began on 4 July 2003 on a 10-barrel former Firkin plant with the old Barnsley Brewery yeast. It grew to a 25-barrel plant with capacity of 170 barrels a week. Barnsley Bitter and Old Moor Porter are its beers. Sonas Capital bought it in 2023 and later handed control back to the Hughes.
