How it works
Set up in May 2003 by the former chef Dave Hughes and his wife Judi, who had been head brewer at Barnsley Brewery, at Wombwell near Barnsley, South Yorkshire; production began on 4 July 2003 on a 10-barrel former Firkin plant with the old Barnsley Brewery yeast. It grew to a 25-barrel plant with capacity of 170 barrels a week. Barnsley Bitter and Old Moor Porter are its beers. Sonas Capital bought it in 2023 and later handed control back to the Hughes. unverified info
