## About

Formed in 1923 when Speight's and nine other breweries merged; Campbell & Ehrenfried put its breweries into the group but stayed a separate company. Its northern division took the name Lion Breweries in 1977 and the group passed to Lion Nathan. Launched Steinecker (Steinlager) in 1958 and briefly renamed its range Lucky Beer in 1960.
