## About

Founded in 2008 by three home brewers of the Melbourne suburb of Hawthorn; the first commercial beer, a Pale Ale, came out in mid-2009. The beer is brewed under contract (one listing names Southern Bay Brewing in Geelong), with pilot brews in the founders' homes. Hawthorn Pilsner won best lager at the Hong Kong International Beer Awards in 2011.
