## About

Named after Emelisse, a lost village of Noord-Beveland. The foundation Stichting Emelisse was set up in September 1998 to promote the island and first had its beer brewed at other breweries, among them De Halve Maan in Hulst. Its own brewery in Kamperland opened officially on 29 October 2005; Kees Bubberman was brewmaster from 2007 to 2014. At the end of 2016 the brewery Slot Oostende of Goes took over the activities, and since 2017 the beers have been brewed in Goes; the Kamperland building keeps a restaurant.
