Built in Karksi in 1975 with Czechoslovak equipment; the first beer was bottled in December 1977. Re-equipped with German machinery in the mid-1990s (AS Karme). Brewing paused in the 2000s and started again in June 2009; AS Karme stopped for good in 2015, and in 2018 the buildings went to a woodworking firm. verified info
