Founded by the brewer Kees Bubberman, a home brewer since 1996 and brewmaster of Emelisse in Kamperland from 2007, who set up his own brewery in Middelburg in 2015 with investors and a crowdfunding campaign. It stands on the Arnestein industrial estate. In 2018 it became the first Dutch brewery to fill all its beers in cans; about half of its production is exported. A second crowdfunding campaign followed in June 2024. unverified info
