## About

Cervecería de Baja California, brand Cucapá, opened in Mexicali in December 2002 as a brewpub run by Mario García, one of the first craft breweries of Mexico; the name is the Spanish form of the Cocopah people of the Colorado River delta. About 2007 it moved from its two bars to a production plant, and it sold to Grupo Modelo (2014 or 2016, sources differ). Beers: Cucapá Chupacabras Pale Ale, Runaway IPA, Border Amber Ale.
