How it works
Carlsberg Kazakhstan brews at 270V Kazybayev Street in Almaty, with a capacity of 3 million hectolitres a year; it grew from the Ak-Nar brewery (founded 1998) and Irbis. Baltic Beverages Holding bought Irbis in November 2002 and Ak-Nar in May 2003; the company was called Derbes from 2006, joined the Carlsberg Group in 2008 and has had its present name since 2010. In 2026 Carlsberg said it would become the PepsiCo bottler in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Brands: Carlsberg, Derbes, Irbis, Holsten, Bolshaya Kruzhka. unverified info
