United Kingdom A Birmingham brewery at Bath Row near Broad Street, dated to 1829 (some sources say 1739), which bought the Midland brewer Dares in 1962. It joined Greenall Whitley in 1986 with 106 tied houses and the Bath Row brewery was run down; Time Out gives 1986 for the end of production, the Brewery History Society 1989. The Highgate Brewery of Walsall revived the Davenports name (2002-2008 by different sources) and later went into liquidation. unverified info
