## About

Founded in 1856 by the merchant Erich Christian Dahl in the Sukkerhuset in Trondheim; the first bottle of Bavarian lager was filled in 1857 and the beer was exported as far as Rio de Janeiro. After Dahl died in 1882 it was bought by Olaus Krabbe Lysholm and partners, and the Lysholm family ran it; a limited company since 1889. Merged with Aktiebryggeriet i Trondhjem in 1966, after which brewing moved to Lademoen. Part of the Nora and Ringnes group, now Carlsberg's. Opened to the public in 2016 after a rebuild; Dahls Pils is brewed in Trondheim for keg and bottle, cans come from Ringnes at Gjelleråsen.
