## About

Founded on 25 November 1889 as the Société Frigorifique de Tunis, an ice factory at 14 rue d'Espagne started by the engineer Joseph Baldauff; it moved to Bab Saâdoun in 1900-1901. Became the joint-stock Société Frigorifique et Brasserie de Tunis (SFBT) on 3 June 1925; first Stella beer in 1927, Celtia in 1951. Taken over in 1979 by the BGI group (Castel, its main shareholder) and Mohamed Bousbia; on the Tunis Bourse since 3 October 1990; renamed Société de Fabrication des Boissons de Tunisie in 2012. Celtia, Stella, Legend by Celtia, Beck's under licence and others, brewed at Bab Saâdoun; about 85% of the Tunisian beer market.
