How it works
Founded in 1851 by Walter Hicks in St Austell, Cornwall; his daughter Hester Parnall ran it from 1916 and added nearly 80 pubs. Tribute, about 80% of sales, is the main beer; Proper Job and Korev are the others. It bought Bath Ales on 1 July 2016 and runs two breweries, St Austell and Warmley near Bath, with about 160 pubs. In March 2025 it proposed cutting up to 40 jobs. unverified info
