Steve Gibbs and Christine launched a five-barrel plant in August 1994 on the Bowburn North Industrial Estate, Durham; it grew to a 10-barrel plant in 1999 (the company was registered on 23 May 1997). The first bottle-conditioned beer, Millennium City, came in 2000. Steve Gibbs's daughter-in-law Elly took over the business and the brewing in 2020. Beers: Evensong, Bombay 106. unverified info
