How it works
Stag Beverages Ltd was the brewery of the French Castel group at Nouvelle France, in the south-east. Castel bought the plant of Universal Breweries, which made Black Eagle lager and had stood idle since 2005 (Wikipedia says 2008), in 2009, modernised it and restarted it as Stag Beverages with Rs 500 million. It brewed Stag lager and the cheaper Ti la Bière, and in July 2012 bought the bottler of Eski and Orangina. The Beer in Africa article dates the end of the brewery to 2014. unverified info
