## About

Founded in 1866 in the Rugen at Interlaken, first built by the Bernese Grand Council member Christian Indermühle; Josef Hofweber took it over in 1892 and the Hofweber family owned it until November 2025. It became a joint-stock company in 1968. In November 2025 its managers Remo Kobluk and Christian Schneiter and the Bernese entrepreneur Bernard Fuhrer, who owns Brauerei Felsenau, bought it; it stays at Matten near Interlaken.
