## About

A craft brewery founded in 1983 by Herm Hegger in Molenhoek, in the municipality of Heumen near Nijmegen, on the estate Bergzicht, where the brewery Bergzigt had stood between 1814 and 1920. Its first beer was Raaf no. 12, and it stood out with occasional beers for Easter and Christmas; the witbier Witte Raaf was so popular that the brewery could not keep up with demand. Raaf was sold to Oranjeboom in 1991 and closed in 1994. Hegger later founded Stadsbrouwerij De Hemel in Nijmegen (row 5671).
