How it works
Israel's largest brewer, based in Netanya. Its brewery descends from the National Brewery, built in Netanya in 1952-53 by investors led by Louis Hertzberg; that company merged with the Palestine Brewery and the Galilee Brewery in 1973, was bought in 1976 by the Canadian developer Murray Goldman and passed to Tempo in 1985. Brews Goldstar, Maccabee and Nesher Malt, and Heineken under licence since 2014; Heineken International has held 40% of Tempo's beverage business since 2005. A new brewery at the Netanya plant, built in 2013, added 35% to capacity. unverified info
