How it works
The brewery was built in 1851 at Provalykha, between the centre of Ternopil and Bila, and was owned for decades by the Goldberg family. Julius Boar rented it in 1906 and bought it in 1913, brewing Bak, Martsove and Lezak; it was nationalised in 1939 as Ternopil Brewery No. 1. In 2011 the old company was in trouble and a new one, Pyvovarnia Opillia LLC, was created. In 2025 the company planned to raise capacity by 40% by 2027 with nearly UAH 200 million. unverified info
