Founded in 1862 by the brothers Schmid and Johann Steiner on its present site at Baar (Zug). It has belonged to the Beck family since 1902 and is run by the fifth generation, with a restaurant of 1864 on the same site. Output grew from 8,500 hl in 2005 to 25,000 hl in 2020. It brews German-style lagers on a 70 hl brewhouse and also makes the beers of Amboss in Zurich. unverified info
