How it works
Founded by Fergus Clark in May 1997 on the Inveralmond industrial estate in Perth, the first new brewery in the city for 30 years; it grew to about 12,000 barrels a year. Its Ossian golden ale was CAMRA's Champion Beer of Scotland in 2017. Innis & Gunn bought it in 2016 and C&C Group took over Innis & Gunn in March 2026; the brewery and the Innis & Gunn taprooms then closed with about 100 jobs lost. C&C said it wants to keep brewing Ossian, but did not know where. unverified info
