Johan Wallenius began brewing in Seinäjoki in 1921 and built the Mallaskoski factory by the rapids in 1928. Brewing stopped in 1964. Founded again at the same place in 1997, with the old yeast kept by the University of Helsinki; the first Kuohu beers in 1999. Captol Invest owns it since 2009. unverified info
