How it works
Cervecería de Mexicali S.A. was formed on 12 March 1923 (partners Miguel González, Albert Biner, Heraclio Ochoa and Luis Marín) and was the first industrial brewery in Baja California; it sold to the border towns while the United States was dry. The old brewery stopped in 1972. About 1990 three local businessmen bought the formula and revived Mexicali beer in a new brewery in Tecate. unverified info
