## About

Built in 1870 on land of the royal estate in Azuga, in the Prahova valley, it became a joint-stock company in 1900 and was the third brewery in Romania in 1927. Ursus Breweries (SABMiller) took over Bere Azuga in 2009 and moved production to Brașov; the buildings were demolished, the tower in March 2014. The Azuga brand is still brewed by Ursus.
