## About

Browar Staropolski in Zduńska Wola (Łódzkie) was founded in 1892 as a steam brewery; its first owner and probable founder was Izrael Tykociner, and from about 1902 it belonged to Zenon Anstadt of the Łódź brewing family. It was nationalised in 1951 and joined the Łódź breweries; in 1996 the heirs of the Blusiewicz family got it back and brewed again from 1997, up to 100,000 hl a year at first. After the operating company went bankrupt in February 2013, Dystrybucja Pomorze Sp. z o.o. bought the brewery in May 2014 and brewing resumed in August 2014.
